  • 2 to 3 ingredients: Two ingredient cocktails are ideal, three ingredients tops.
  • No weird ingredients: Gotta stick to the basics. (No absinthe or chartreuse allowed.)
  • Ideal if it’s mixed in the glass. Then you don’t have to dirty a cocktail shaker! Most of the cocktails below are mixed in the glass, though a few use a cocktail shaker or mixing glass.
  • Must be able to make it in under 5 minutes. All of these are quick and simple: we promise!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ounces (¼ cup) vodka
  • ½ ounce (1 tablespoon) fresh lime juice
  • 4 ounces (½ cup) ginger beer
  • For the garnish: lime wheel or wedge, fresh mint (if desired)

Instructions

  1. In a copper mug or glass, pour in the vodka, lime juice, and ginger beer.
  2. Add ice and garnish with a lime slice. Serve immediately.
