Make store-bought naan bread into pizza in just 15 minutes! This naan pizza recipe is faster and healthier than delivery, and tastes just as delicious (or better).

Here’s my ultimate fast and easy dinner recipe: naan pizza! OK get this: it’s faster than delivery pizza, healthier, and it tastes better. So why order out when you can make tasty pizza in?
This naan pizza recipe is for those nights where you need dinner on the table without thinking too hard. Packaged naan bread is easy to find at the grocery, making it easy to run to the store on a naan pizza run. You’ll never need delivery or frozen pizza again! I have used this trick over and over as a quick meal for my family.
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- Faster than delivery: From oven to table in 15 minutes flat!
- Endlessly customizable: Use whatever toppings you have on hand.
- No special equipment needed: All you need is a regular oven and a baking sheet. No pizza stone required like my classic pizza dough recipe (which is more delicious: just for when you have more time!).

How to Make Naan Pizza
Here’s the thing. It’s not just as easy as putting toppings on naan bread! Here are our tips on how to make naan pizza:
- Grab your favorite naan (or leftover homemade naan). It’s that Indian flatbread that comes neatly packaged in the bread or international foods aisle. Try out brands to find your favorite flavor and texture; they all vary. Or, use leftovers of our garlic naan or vegan naan.
- Here’s the important part: prebake the naan on the oven grates! You must prebake the naan so the texture holds up like pizza crust. If you skip this step, your crust will be much too wimpy. Bake 3 minutes right on the oven grates at 450 degrees Fahrenheit, then flip and bake 2 minutes more.
- Top with toppings and bake ~3 minutes. Then add the toppings and bake until the cheese melts. Speaking of topping…let’s chat.

Delicious Topping Ideas
This is where you can get creative! In my base recipe below, I’ve made a classic Margherita pizza: tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and basil: the three colors of the Italian flag. Sometimes I just don’t have time to make my classic version with homemade pizza dough, so naan pizza is perfect in a pinch! Because I’m pizza obsessed, I have lots of creative pizza topping ideas:
- Margherita: Homemade pizza sauce, mozzarella, and basil
- Pesto: Basil pesto and tomatoes
- Spinach: Spinach artichoke
- Mushroom: Sauteed mushrooms and herbs
- Taco toppings: Taco pizza
- Veggies: Veggie supreme (mushrooms, olives & peppers)
- Light and fresh: Peppers & arugula
- So Cal: Avocado & goat cheese
- Mediterranean: Sundried tomatoes, olives & feta
- Breakfast: Scrambled eggs & bell peppers
Storage and Reheating Tips
Leftover naan pizza reheats well. Store cooled pizza in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
For reheating, warm it back a 400°F oven for 5-7 minutes, or use a skillet over medium heat with a lid for 3-4 minutes. You can also easily reheat leftovers in an air fryer!

Dietary Notes
This naan pizza recipe is vegetarian. For vegan, plant-based, and dairy-free, use the Vegan Pizza option.
Frequently Asked Questions

Not really! This naan pizza is best when it’s freshly made.
Yes! Prebake the naan on the grill grates for 2-3 minutes per side, then add toppings and close the lid until cheese melts.
The prebaking step is essential Also, use sauce sparingly and avoid watery toppings like fresh tomatoes unless you’ve drained them well.

I often make quickie-pizzas in a pinch. I really like this one (naan), as well as some of the others you’ve shown. If I may offer an additional suggestion: premade/wrapped “crusts” such as Boboli is another option. One of my favorite “cheat pizza” !
I’ve used these countless times ! They come wrapped well enough to sit on the shelf for awhile and can be tossed in the freezer indefinitely.
So glad to hear that! Thanks for the comment.
