What makes it great? No blender, pantry ingredients

Some tahini dressing recipes require a blender, which to me is often the last thing I want to pull out when the kitchen is already a mess. Many tahini dressing recipes also require lemon: which is wonderful flavor-wise, but sometimes we run out. This recipe is so easy because you can make it with all pantry ingredients!

Some tips on fresh ginger root

The one exception on pantry ingredients? Fresh ginger root: but it does count as a fridge ingredient! Fresh ginger root is good for up to 1 week in the refrigerator. Grab a bunch in the produce section and store it in your produce drawer.

If you don’t happen to have fresh ginger on hand, you can leave it out here. But it really rounds out the flavor! The best way to peel fresh ginger root is with a spoon! Peel it, then grate it very finely using a microplane or the holes on a fine grater. It’s worth the flavor difference: we promise!

  1. Made this today to use up the little over 1/2cup of tahini I had left in a jar along with other leftover stuff. Excellent flavor. I added fresh grated garlic instead of garlic powder and an extra teaspoon of ginger and used Sherry Vinegar (literally had a little over 2 tsp left). So good! I love recipes like this you really can’t screw up.
