- Soy sauce
- Dijon mustard
- Cornstarch
- Medium shrimp, thawed and deveined (tail on or peeled)
- Garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, black pepper, and kosher salt

The type of shrimp to look for

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- ¾ cup barbecue sauce*
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 1/2 pounds medium shrimp, thawed and deveined (tail on or peeled)
- ¾ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- Fresh ground black pepper
Instructions
- If frozen, thaw the shrimp.
- In a medium bowl, stir together the cornstarch and 1 tablespoon water. Then stir in the BBQ sauce, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard.
- Pat the shrimp dry. In a medium bowl, mix the shrimp with the salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and cumin.
- In a very large skillet, heat the butter on medium high heat. Add the shrimp in single layer and cook until the shrimp are about ½ cooked through, 1 to 2 minutes. Flip the shrimp, then pour in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes until the sauce is thickened and glossy. Remove from the heat and add lemon juice and fresh ground black pepper.
