  • 6 strawberries
  • 1 handful mint or basil leaves

For mint water

  • ¼ cup fresh mint leaves, loosely packed, plus more sprigs for garnish
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 7 cups (64 ounces) cold water

For strawberry water

Instructions

  1. For the first four infused waters: Wash and thinly slice the veggies or fruits. Add the slices (and any fresh herbs) to bottom of a pitcher. Use a wooden spoon to lightly muddle them several times to release the juices. Go to Step 3.
  2. OR, for the mint water only: In a heat proof bowl or liquid measuring cup, add the 1/4 cup mint leaves and boiling water. Let stand for 15 minutes, then stir in 2 ice cubes. Discard the mint and place the mint water in a pitcher. Go to Step 3.
  3. For all: Add the cold water. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving. Flavor is best within 1 day. Cucumber water works up to 3 days refrigerated.
