Ingredients

  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar or honey
  • 1 ½ teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Thinly slice the red onion.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the apple cider vinegar, sugar or honey, kosher salt, and water.
  3. Place the onion slices in a jar and pour over the pickling liquid mixture. Sit at room temperature for 1 hour.
