The mezcal sour is a spin on the classic sour cocktail! It’s smoky and sweet tart, starring lime, Cointreau, and a foamy topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ounces* mezcal
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce Cointreau (or Triple Sec)
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • 1 egg white
  • Angostura bitters, for the garnish

Instructions

  1. Add the mezcal, lime juice, Cointreau, simple syrup and egg white to a cocktail shaker without ice. Shake for 15 seconds.
  2. Add the ice to the cocktail shaker. Shake again for 30 seconds.
  3. Strain the drink into a cocktail glass; the foam will collect at the top. Garnish with a dash of bitters on the foam, and use a toothpick or stir stick to gently draw a line to make a heart shape.
