This peanut sauce recipe is bursting with flavor! Perfect for dipping, it works for spring rolls, veggies, lettuce wraps, and more.


  • 1/2 cup natural creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey or sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sambal oelek or chili garlic sauce, or more to taste (or omit if desired)
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger*
  • 1 small garlic clove, grated
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons warm water


  1. In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients. Serve immediately or store refrigerated for up to 2 weeks. Allow to come to room temperature before serving. If it is still very thick, whisk in 1/2 teaspoon or so of warm water until the sauce comes to a creamy consistency.


*A Microplane grater makes quick work of grating the ginger and garlic!
