This really is the best chicken seasoning recipe! Make this mix of common spices to take your chicken to the next level.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika (or sweet paprika)
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Whisk the ingredients together in a small bowl. Transfer to an airtight container or jar. Store for 6 months to 1 year in a cool, dry place.
  2. To season chicken, pat the chicken dry. Sprinkle on 1 tablespoon chicken seasoning and 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt for every 1 pound of chicken (boneless). If desired, place in the refrigerator and marinate at least 30 minutes or up to 24 hours for maximum flavor. If using skin-on chicken, rub it under the skin as well. Cook according to your desired method, using the cooking steps like Grilled Chicken, Pan Seared Chicken, Baked Chicken Thighs, or Rotisserie Chicken.
