Most of the recipes on this website are vegetarian. Why? We find most people we talk to want to know how to eat more vegetables. However, we personally don’t ascribe to a specific diet: not clean eating, vegetarian, gluten-free, vegan, plant-based, or otherwise.
Our diet is essentially Mediterranean in style, sometimes international and travel-inspired. We focus on cooking from scratch with lots of vegetables, whole grains, healthy fats, and olive oil. When we can, we use natural sweeteners and buy organic. At home, we eat mainly vegetarian and vegan meals, but sometimes seafood or sustainably-raised meat (some call this diet flexitarian). Above all, we shun rules and embrace the joy of eating good food with family and friends around the table. We call it Pretty Simple Cooking.
