It’s time! As you may know, these past few months we’ve been in the midst of a renovation to transform the kitchen in our new-to-us historic home in Indianapolis. It has been a *huge* labor of love that we’ve poured our hearts into; quite the process, as those of you out there who’ve been through this before can appreciate.
Now, we’re ready to share some of the process with you! We’ve put together a series of three posts about the renovation process over at KitchenAid’s blog, The Kitchenthusiast. This first post talks about the planning phase of the design process. We created the design ourselves (with some consulting help from a few friends like Jeanine from Love and Lemons — thank you, Jeanine!). It’s now up at:
Kitchen Remodel – A Couple Cooks Part 1
Enjoy! Have you ever remodeled a kitchen (or any other rooms in a home)? What was your design process like?
This is so exciting! I love seeing kitchen renovation projects. The new floor plan looks awesome. Can’t wait to see the whole journey! My husband and I remodeled our kitchen a few years ago, we ripped everything out until we were left with a dirt hole – so intense but so fun! :)
Thanks, Grace! I’d love to see how your kitchen turned out. I can only imagine the work involved in converting a dirt hole to a kitchen!
Hi Sonja! You can see our journey here: http://cherryhouse.tumblr.com/archive There were definitely some ups and downs – like when I thought it was a good idea to paint the walls red, lol :)
